GE magazine is now accepting nominations for its new Top 20 Women in Ground Engineering initiative.
To coincide with International Women’s Day, the March 2024 edition of Ground Engineering (GE) magazine will be dedicated to women working in the industry.
As part of the issue, GE will reveal today’s top 20 inspirational women in ground engineering based on nominations from peers or the individuals themselves.
Those listed will be thought leaders, innovative thinkers and industry influencers. These women – no matter their age or seniority level – are working to create a better, more inclusive and sustainable ground engineering sector. There are no other strict criteria, and the initiative is open to all women involved in geotechnics.
The nomination period has now started and will run until 19 January 2024. Submissions can be made through this form.
The final list will be chosen by GE’s editorial team.
But that's not all. GE is also looking for female geotechnical/geo-environmental engineers, engineering geologists and other professionals working in the field of ground engineering who would be interested in contributing to the March issue (and beyond). This could be in the form of an interview, opinion piece, technical note, case study or industry analysis article.
The publication is especially interested in showcasing women who have been part of groundbreaking projects, delivered innovations, or have a distinct viewpoint to offer. Plus, GE encourages contributions from those who have been underrepresented in the world of ground engineering.
If you would like to contribute to the issue or the magazine overall, please get in touch with GE editor Nia Kajastie at: [email protected]
