Entries are now open for this year’s Inspiring Women in Construction and Engineering Awards, brought to you by Construction News, New Civil Engineer and – for the first time – Ground Engineering.
The Inspiring Women in Construction and Engineering (IWCE) Awards are back for the third year, with 22 awards categories to enter.
The awards celebrate the best women, allies, initiatives, companies and teams for technical excellence and their contributions to gender equality, as well as diversity and inclusion.
Ground Engineering (GE) has also joined its sister titles Construction News and New Civil Engineer for IWCE for the first time this year.
GE editor Nia Kajastie said: “Ground engineering as a sector has already been represented at the conference and awards, but we’ve now made it official.
“GE is involved in the BBC’s 50:50 Equality Project, focused on gender equality and diversity in media content, and launched its Top 20 Women in Ground Engineering initiative in 2024, so being part of the IWCE event series and awards seems like the natural next step.”
More information on how to enter can be found here. The deadline for entries is 3 May.
The 2024 IWCE events series kicked off with a webinar on “Constructing equality – tackling and addressing unconscious bias” on International Women’s Day (8 March). It was presented by Arcadis and Willmott Dixon.
An invite-only learning and development workshop for shortlisted entrants will be held on 2 July in London.
The IWCE Conference & Awards will take place at Royal Lancaster London on 17 September.
